Katrine Winter Karnival Almaguin Highlands

Katrine is located north of Huntsville in the Almaguin Highlands close to Algonquin Park and Muskoka.  Katrine Winter Carnival takes places every year towards the end of February.  Start of the weekend on Friday with family lunch, friday night bowling at Almaguin Bowl and family night dancing.  On Saturday the concession booth opens at 9am followed by a parade at 10:30am.  The day is filled with fun activities to include, outdoor bonfire, horse drawn sleigh rides, long sawing, nail driving, bed races, county music, children's games, hockey shoot, roast beef supper and dance at 8pm.  On Sunday enjoy a pancake breakfast, elimination draw and euchre in the afternoon in the senior's room.
